We have put a lot of effort into developing additional hardware to complete our catalog of hardware for masonry heaters. Since we have been custom masonry heater builders for almost 20 years, we know how helpful it is to be able to count on all the hardware you need for a project. It slows you down and makes projects expensive if you have to make your own trim plates or invent your own bypass damper. It’s much easier to install soot clean-out doors or ash doors by having masonry frames for them. Read on to learn more about some of these new products.
We are really excited about the new K301 Oven Enclosure:
K301 Oven Enclosure
This oven enclosure, along with the K301 Firebox/Oven Door make for a very effective and compact indirect-fired oven for creative masonry and rocket mass heaters.
This oven enclosure is designed by Firespeaking and is made in the USA out of 11ga steel. This oven ships with shelves we are still developing.
Here is the production prototype for the new ash drawer. The product that you would receive will be galvanized.
Ash Drawer
Fabricated from 18ga GALVANIZED steel.
9″ width allows standard firebrick to be used as a spacer.
We are also happy to officially launch our 6″x6″ Pivoting Bypass Damper:
6″x 6″ Pivoting Bypass Damper
The 6″x6″ Pivoting Bypass Damper is our flagship pivoting bypass damper product. This bypass damper is essentially a Smoke Valve which allows you to prime a chimney by providing a more direct path to a chimney to establish draft before siphoning the smoke through a longer pathway.
This product was designed by Firespeaking and is made in the USA with 1/4″ steel frame and a 1/2″ shaft. It is designed for standard firebrick dimensions.
We have two types of masonry frames now available:
P104 Masonry Frame
Made in the USA from 20ga galvanized sheet metal.
These sheet metal frames make it easy and fast to build the required rough opening for the P104 soot door.
B104 Masonry Frame
Made in the USA from 20ga galvanized sheet metal.
These sheet metal frames make it easy and fast to build the required rough opening for the B104 Ash Door.
We also are now providing easy to access amounts of 1/4″ Ceramic Paper Gasketing:
1/4″ Gasket: 2 1/2″ x 24″
1/4″ ceramic paper for high temperature gasketing.
Used around openings in the expansion joint between core and facing of masonry heaters.
1/4″ Gasket: 24″ x 24″
Stock sheet of 1/4″ ceramic paper used to make custom gaskets, including wider pieces around firebox openings for masonry heater expansion joints.
